We offer annual wellness exams and advice on healthy lifestyle changes to improve your overall quality of life. Physicals should be done at least once yearly for early intervention.

Dr.Sonia Verna Francis
Sonia Francis is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of
Nurse
credentialing, and Licensed by the state of Georgia to provide family-centered health care
to patients of
all ages. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis
and
management of common and complex healthcare problems beginning in childhood and continuing
throughout the aging process.
Sonia’s extensive medical career began at the St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City
where she
served as a Medical Assistant and later, as a Registered Nurse, in the hospital’s OB/GYN
clinic for 10
years. In search of warmer climate, Sonia migrated to Orlando, Florida where she continued
her serving
in her capacity as a Registered Nurse in women’s health at the Winnie Palmer Hospital in
Orlando for
another 10 years. With a longing to be closer to family, Sonia again migrated to the
Covington area in
Georgia and continued her work as a Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery department
at Northside
Hospital. In the 20 plus years of her experience as a Nurse, Sonia sought after and
accomplished a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science Degree in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing
degrees at Chamberlain College of Nursing. As part of her accomplishments, Sonia was
accepted as a
member into the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.
Sonia’s journey from Medical Assistant to Registered Nurse to Nurse Practitioner to Doctor
of Nurse
Practitioner has equipped her with a unique combination of strong nursing skills and coupled
with a
caring heart, she strives to provide paramount care to her patients. Sonia is a strong
believer that
building long-lasting and trusting relationship with patients, customers, and vendors are
the building
blocks of a superior practice. Her goal is to always provide a comprehensive evaluation of
each patient
by attentively listening to and understanding the patient’s concerns and addressing the
patient’s needs
accordingly. Her true desire is to develop the patient’s confidence and enhance a positive
healing
experience to those in need.
In her free time, Sonia enjoys bowling, movies, and traveling. But what she enjoys most is
being with her
family – especially her daughter.

My first visit with Dr. Francis was absolutely amazing, the normal anxiety I feel when visiting a doctor was gone. She was very personable and kinda felt like talking to family. I would 10/10 recommend and I actually look forward to future visits!

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Francis and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience! From the prompt and friendly check-in process to the thorough and caring consultation with the doctor, everything was top-notch. Dr. Francis listened attentively to my concerns, explained my diagnosis and treatment options in a clear and concise manner, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire visit.
